Today morning, Cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar visits to the village in Andhra Pradesh which he has decided to adopt. Soon after arrival in Puttamrajuvari Kandriga, the parliamentarian unveiled a pylon to adopt the village and launch various development works. Tendulkar was given a warm welcome by Nellore district collector N Srikanth, other officials and villagers as his chopper landed from Krishnapatnam Port, where he had a night halt. He will lay the foundation stone for housing, construction of road and some other development works being undertaken with the Rs. 2.79 crore he has been provided under his MP Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) funds. It is Tendulkar’s first visit to the village after his announcement to adopt it under Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojna.
