Congress veteran leader Gurudas Kamat died at 63
Today Gurudas Kamat(63) Former Central Minister and former president of Mumbai Congress died due to Heart attack after prolong sickness. Kamat was admitted in Primes Hospital in Chanakyapuri of Delhi.
As far as his political career is concerned Kamat elected from north east Mumbai during 1984,1991,1998 aur 2004 as an MP and in 2009 he won as an MP from North-West Mumbai
He held the portfolio of Home and Information & Broadcasting Ministry.In 2011he resigned from the ministry. Congress high command conferred him responsibility of General Secretary of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Dadra Nagar Haveli and Observer of Daman & Diu.
In 2017, heresigned due to his illness. He was a Law graduate from Government Law College.
Today Evening his deadbody will be flown to Mumbai and on Thursday morning Funeral Rites will be performed as per information from his family.
