Today in Gujarat Assembly’s Budget Session there was a heated exchange between Congress MLA Kaminibaa Rathod from Dehgam and minister Nitin Patel over security to women in Gujarat. Patel made objectionable remarks on Kaminibaa which was strongly objected by Congress MLAs. In protest Congress members rushed upto the well in anger pressing Patel to withdraw his remarks.
Later, Patel’s remarks were removed from official communication.
Congress members were suspended for a day today.
Congress leader Shankersinh Vaghela said will not allow functioning of assembly session till Patel express apology to Kaminibaa. He added government’s monopoly will not be allowed.
