More than 50 Gujarat Congress MLAs Member of Legislative Assembly have been kept in Resort after quick resignation of a few party MLAs including Akshay Patel, Jitu Chaudhary and Brijesh Merja.
23 MLAs are kept in Neelcity resort in Rajkot city whereas 19 MLAs have been kept in resort of Rajasthan. 10 MLAs have been kept in resort of Umreth and 4 MLAs of south Gujarat are there in local resorts. MLA Bhikhabhai Joshi is getting eye treatment so he is allowed to be away by the party.
Senior Gujarat Congress leaders including Arjun Modhwadia, Bharatsinh Solanki, SIddharth Patel, Jagdish Thakor, Naresh Raval and Sagar Rayka are likely to be in resort ahead of Rajya Sabha election in Gujarat for 3 seats.
Party senior leaders are advised to do damage control in the party.
Resorts in which Congress MLAs are kept have been raided by state government mentioning reasons of not being able to open during lockdown period without proper permission.
