Congress MLA blames of poor education and health of students in Gujarat

As per health survey in Gujarat govt run primary schools condition of education and health is poor. In the state 16.60 lakh students suffer from various diseases. They have eye problems. RTE, Right to educationis not properly implemented to thousands of family have to admit their kids in private schools.

Congress MLA,Viramgam and spokesperson Dr Tejashreeben Patel said that there is no proper drinking water facility in the schools. Poor quality food is served in mid-day meals. Only Rs 400 is paid towards cleanliness of schools due to which many diseases spread among school students. IN last 5 years, 79.34 students had health problems. In govt run schools against 75 approved vacancies of  Child Health Experts only 23 have been filled up. So poor and middle class families have to take treatment from private hospitals. Alongwith health , education level has also fallen. From year 2010 to 2013 no funds have been made towards purchase of books in school library. 1878 rooms are falling short of requirement for mid-day meals including 627 rooms deficit in Banaskantha, 355 rooms deficit in Anand and 207 rooms in Dahod districts. Also, deficit of staff out of approved staffe is seen in the state.
