Congress leaders meet Gujarat CM on 13th day of fasting by Hardik on farmers issue
Today afternoon, Congress MLAs and leaders of the Congress party visited the Chief Minister Vijay Rupani in Gandhinagar.
Congress demanded the complete release of the farmers debt in support of fasting Hardik Patel for Gujarat farmers and reservation to Patidars.
Congress has announced a 24-hour fasting program to support of Hardik on Friday.
In the leadership of Paresh Dhanani, leader of opposition, Harshad Ribia, Niranjan Patel, former Gujarat president Arjun Modhwadia, Siddharth Patel and more than 40 leaders, submitted the application to Chief Minister Vijay Rupani in Swarnim Sankul complex.
After meeting with the Chief Minister, Leader of Opposition, Dhanani said that due to the failures of BJP government, farmers of Gujarat are facing various problems.
Briefing about pathetic condition of thousands of farmers, who have no irrigation facility in the scarcity conditions due to water scarcity and low rainfall. Legislative questions have been raised over the property of millions of farmers by land measuring by the Satellite. When the world is facing serious problems today, the government should announce the full debt of the immediate farmers.
The Leader of the Opposition said that Hardik has been fasting for the past 13 days on various issues related to farmers but the BJP is insensitive and arrogant who failed to interfere with the agitators. Congress has asked the Chief Minister to have dialogue with Hardik Patel.
He raised issue of immediate release of Alpesh Kathiaia. Congress leaders offered floral tributes to the statue of Gandhiji in the Legislative Assembly.
