Today in Gandhinagar of Gujarat , 2 day long 78th Conference of Presiding Officers of Legislative Bodies in India started. Sumitra Mahajan Speaker of the Lok Sabha inaugurated the conference .Among other dignitaries present at the Conference were Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel and chief whip Ganpat Vasava. Assembly groups of other states were present at the conference.
The Conference was addressed Ganpat Vasava and Sumitra Mahajan. LS speaker Sumitra Mahajan appreciated contibutions of Mahatama Gandhi. She spoke about leadership quality and decorum in the assembly session. She added that how to enhance people’s confidence into their public representatives. She also stressed on ethical practices.
At large, the conference was well received.
