Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel considered girl child education as mandatory to make unity, harmony and brotherhood to the nation today.
Toady, Anandiben held a brief discussion with the Jammu-Kashmiri girl students who are on visit to Gujarat as a part of ‘Bharat Darshan 2014′ programme organized by the Border Security Force ,BSF.
Chief Minister briefed them about the success of Gujarat’s new initiatives in girl child education and women empowerment, 33% women reservation in Police Force and training programmes in self security and health-care related initiative of daughters-mothers.
Mrs. Patel inspired the students about education, social awareness and patriotism to the nation. She also discussed about her inspirational journey from her school life in a small village to the Chief Ministership.
Earlier, these girl students had also visited several other places such as Sabarmati Ashram, Riverfornt, Mahatma Mandir, Akshardaham, Adalaj ni Vav, Bhujodi of Kutch-Bhuj, Hamirsar pond and several others. They told Chief Minister that they were impressed by the socio-economic developments and cultural heritage of the state.
The Chief Minister also made inspirational suggestion the the BSF’s visit planning officer to cover Science City and places showcashing industrial development of the state in the visit so that these girls can think over such educational braches for their future prospects.
At the meeting, Santosh Mehra, IG, BSF, Deputy Commandant Negi, B.K.Mehta and several senior officials were present. CM was honoured with a momento by the girl students and she bestowed them with her blessings.
