CM Anandiben dedicates Rs 450 Crore Green Field Plant at Bharuch

Today, Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel expressed a determination that with an active co-operation from world renowned companies and industry, Gujarat can be a malnutrition free state. Gujarat Chief Minister was speaking at the function organised to inaugurate the first Green Field Plant set-up at a cost of Rs 450-Cr by world renowned Abbott Company at Jaghadia in Bharuch district.

Anandiben Patel extended her greetings to the company as its plant is going to provide empoyment to 450 local youths and its spending of Rs 3-Cr for constructioning toilets in nearby villages as its social responsibilty.

Chief Minister said, Gujarat is a leading state in industrial sector with its contribution of 28.2 % in GSDP. And state is prepared to raise its GSDP to 32 % by year-2017 as the Gujarat is the Growth Engine of India. The co-operation from such industry giants would surely help in fulfilling the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream of ‘Make in India.’

Anandiben Patel also expressed a hope that this new plant would be benefitting to many children, women and senior citizens of the state. The plant’s produces are not made just for medical treatments to sick people but to give healthy life to the citizens. Speaking on the occasion, local MP and Union Scheduled Tribes Welfare Minister Mansukhbhai Vasava said, a very important plant has been set up by the nutrition making company. This is second of its kind project in the country.

Abbott Global’s Nutrition Executive – Vice President  John Landgraph said, “We are determined to supply high quality nutritive foods to meet the local needs. This is our first plant in India.” The Abbott US’s General Secretary Thomas Vayda said, this new nutritive plant will work effectively to meet the international standards. This is the third plant of Abbott in the entire world.

Others who graced the occasion included local MLA  Ishwarsinh Patel, District Panchayat President  Manharbhai Gohil, former MP Bharatsinh Parmar, District Collector Avantika Singh, senior administrative officials of the company and local leaders.
