Today, As per Jammu Police, two persons were killed and seven others injured early in a heavy firing by the Pakistan Rangers on the Border Security Force posts near the international border in RS Pura sector in the Jammu district. All injured have been admitted to the Jammu Medical College for treatment. BSF official said that retaliating firing is by BSF forces is going on.
Pakistan Rangers have been using heavy weapons to target BSF post.They are targeting 17 border outposts of the BSF in RS Pura sector and Arnia sub-sector at the international border.2,000 villagers from three villages close to the international border in RS Pura sector have migrated to safer places leaving their homes and cattle behind.
