Today, CBI, arrested former Congress spokesperson Vineet Godha and a senior lawyer for taking a bribe of Rs 50 lakhs on behalf of his brother-in-law who is chairman and managing director of Syndicate Bank Sudhir Kumar Jain. During CBI raid at 20 sites in four cities including Bangalore, Bhopal, Mumbai and Delhi, a bribe amounting Rs 50 lakhs was recovered.Initial recovery of Rs 50 lakhs is from asset documents and incriminating documents. CBI will conduct further investigation.
Allegation is about Jain asking taking a bribe to extend credit facilities to certain companies.
