Today in Delhi, Press Conference of Election Commission  was held by Chief Election Commissioner VS Sampath. EC said there would be “zero tolerance on provocative speeches”. Election Commision briefs on polling dates. Also.Model code of conduct was effective in Delhi.

Commission informed that there are  1.30 crore voters in Delhi and this time it was 10th election notification given. They also informed that NOTA option would be available to voters for no Suitable Candidate. Micro Observers will be appointed to monitor expenditure. 21st January will be last date for filing  nominations and the last date for withdrawal of nominations will be 24th January. Polling is scheduled on 7th February and  counting would be made on 10th February.

EC stated that Presidential rule was effective from Feb 2014 in the capital city of India.
