Today in Gujarat, 24 passengers were killed and 18 inured in a bus accident of Navsari to Ukai route. The ill fated bus fell into Purna river from a bridge at Gurukul Supa. More than 40 persons have been rescued. Driver and conductor of the bus killed. There were 60 passengers onboard. Injured have been rushed to Navsari Civil hospital. Ambulance assigned from Navsari, Maroli, Gandevi and Bardoli on rescue job. Driver of bus lost his control and mishap happended.
Rescue operation in full swing and will continue even during evening. Difficulties faced due to evening time.
Minister Vijay Rupani said accident is very serious, enquiry will be made into the mishap. Divers and swimmers have been called for rescue. It is feared that more people are drowned in the river.
