Today Actor Pratyusha Banerjee who rose to fame with popular TV serial Balika Vadhu on Friday committed suicide, according to Mumbai police. The 24-year-old actor was declared dead at Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai after she was found hanging in her apartment in Mumbai. No suicide note has been recovered yet.
Some reports says she was rushed to the hospital by Rahul Singh, her boyfriend. The actor’s family is based out of Jamshedpur. She was also a contestant on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5 and was one of the participants of Bigg Boss 7 on Colors. She has worked in Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya (TV series) in 2014 and was last seen in Hum Hain Na as the main female lead.
Pratyusha debuted in the serial Balika Vadhu on Colors TV as the adult Anandi, a much loved character and became a household name in a shortspan of time. She played the role with poise. She also played a negative character in Sasural Simran Ka.
