Internationally acclaimed Boxer turned Actor Vijender in an Exclusive Chat with Gujarat Headline.
You have Haryanvi accent, so how did you managed to act in the film?
I think according to my character Gaurav, this accent was needed in the film. In the film, my character is from Delhi and Delhi people have this type of accent, Haryanvi and English mix in their language. So, I enjoyed playing this character. I think it was a plus point for me.
Why did you selected this move for debut into movies?
I think the script selected me. I actually, liked the script and enjoyed it. There were many things to do in my character, so I choose this film.
How was experience working with your co-stars?
We had lots of Masti and fun during the shooting of the movie, I didn’t realised when the film was over. We had done shooting in Ladakh, Delhi, Mumbai, Gugaon and Faridabad. In the end of film, I got three new friends.
We heard of your teaching Boxing to your co-stars during shooting?
Ya, we used to challenge each other, whenever we used to get time duing shooting.Free time was used for training them on Boxing and Fitness.
What was your family’s reaction after watching your film?
Everyone enjoyed the movie very much. My son infact watched the first film of his life and that to of his father, so it was very special for me. I am happy that I have done this movie and everyone is coming to watch this film.
Share your experience to work and dance with Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar?
It was very interesting, infact I had lot of fun by working with them. Being such superstars, they took out time from their busy schedules and shoot one song with us, really much appreciated by me.
How much excited you are for Common Wealth Games?
I am very excited. I am busy right now in training. I have done acting, now I want to concentrate on my Boxing for 1-2 months.
Given the choice between Boxing and Acting, which one would you select?
I think both the work are good for me, I am very happy doing both the work. I work from bottom of my heart, on any work given to me.
Will your fans be able to watch you doing more movies?
Definitely, please pray for me, right now I busy with Boxing but Wait and Watch, I will get back soon.
