Veteran Indian actor Dharmendra has been admitted to Breach Candy hospital here after he complained of weakness and shoulder pain.
“Dharmendra was admitted last night after he complained of pain in right shoulder and weakness. He is here for overall health check up as well,” Dr Sanjay Desai, orthopaedic, knee and shoulder specialist at Breach Candy Hospital, told PTI.
“As of now he is fine, talking to everyone. There is nothing to worry,” he said.
The 79-year-old actor is not likely to be discharged on Thursday as doctors are going to perform some tests on him.
“We are doing some investigations like MRI, X-Ray and all. Once the reports come, after that only we will be able to say something,” Dr Desai said.
The actor is known for his acting in films like “Bandini”, “Dil Ne Phir Yaad Kiya”, “Anpadh”, “Raja Jani”, “Seeta Aur Geeta”, “Sharafat”, “Jugnu”, “Charas”, “Azaad” and “Sholay”.
In 1997, Dharmendra received the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution to Hindi cinema.
