Today in an important civic body elections a battle between political rivals, BMC Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation will under go polls with 40 Gujarati nominees to be in fray including Manoj Kotak, Nil Somaiya, Pravin Chheda, Atul Shah, Ram Barot and others. Voting for the cash-rich Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation and 9 other civic bodies in Maharashtra. BMC elections 2017 will see ruling Shiv Sena taking on rivals Congress, BJP, NCP and MNS in a bid to retain power over India’s richest municipal corporation.
Future of candidates will be captures in 40 EVMs.
The Maharashtra State Election Commission has spent Rs 95 crore towards voting arrangements for the 2017 BMC election.
Some dignitaries were spotted casting their votes during BMC elections include Rekha, Sachin Tendulakar, Varun Dhawan, Anushka Sharma, Zoya Akhtar, Raj Thackeray, Udhav Thackeray, Devendra Fadnavis and others.
Mumbai turnout remained 41.3 % till 3.30 pm.
Final Voting Percentage till 5.30 pm in different constituency was as follows:

Thane – 53.11 %
Ulhasnagar – 46.83 %
Nashik – 52.63 %
Pune – 49.52 %
Pimpri Chinchwad – 51.86 %
Solapur – 44 %
Amravati – 51.62 %
Akola – 42 39 % and
Nagpur – 49.95 %
