It is good news for people of Gujarat that Lifeline of Gujarat in Narmada Dam has reached 120.08 meters this summer. For the first time in 2 years, surface of the dam has reached 120.08 meters in the month of April. Water Income is coming from Upstream of dams due to which water level in Narmada dam has increased.
The dam currently has 1221.62 MCMof live storage water. Power houses of 2 dams are runniing in MP Madhya Pradesh due to power demand. Due to which the water level in Narmada Dam is rising. Summer of year 2022 has just begun.
Water storage in various parts of Gujarat is declining. North Gujarat has 16.48 per cent water storage. Central Gujarat has 50.69per cent water storage. South Gujarat has the highest water storage at 69.89 per cent, while Saurashtra has 47.79 per cent and Kutch has 23.65 per cent. Good thing for Gujarat is that water level of Sardar Sarovar Narmada Dam has gained the highest level in the history of Narmada Dam at 120.08 meters in April and dam currently has 1221.62 MCM of live storage water.
