Today on Sunday morning in Ahmedabad city, Ahmedabad Mayor Bijal Patel, BJP MLA Rakesh Shah and other partymen took a procession in support of CAA Citizenship Amendment Act recently passed in Parliament.
Purpose of the procession was to spread awareness of the bill among citizens and its advantages.
Residents of Paldi in Ellisbridge ward, Vasna, Maninagar and Navrangpura joined the procession with banners supporting CAA came out on streets. More than 100 police deployed at BJP rally.
After passing the bill there were wide spread protests in Assam, Delhi, Hyderabad and Gujarat against the bill.
