Bitcoin Extortion case: PI Anant Patel and SP Jagdish Patel interrogated by CBI
Today in Gandhinagar, in Bitcoin Extortion case, PI Police Inspector Anant Patel and SP Superintendent of Police Jagdish Patel are being interrogation at CBI office.
As per DIG, summons was issued to SP Jagdish Patel to appear before CBI. Also, PI Anant Patel had gone underground for long time. So yesterday Jagdish Patel was picked up at 6:00 hrs from his residence.
During investigation by CBI team, 180 GB data of Bitcoin transactions has come to surface. Also, allegations of extortion and abduction made by Shailesh Bhatt and other technical evidences found during arrest of 3 previous accused, role of Nalin Kotadiya are being probed. Involvement of big shots in the case will also be checked. After arrest of SP Jagdish Patel mobile of Nalin Kotadiya is getting switched off, which gives substance to the allegations of Shailesh Bhatt. Hand of Sanjay Kotadiya Nephew of Nalin Kotadiya was suspected in the case.
Sanjay was once called by CBI, he is likely to be called again for investigation. Till now, 11 persons have been booked in the case and evidences against Jagdish Patel and Nalin Kotadiya were found. 6 more persons are likely to be arrested in the case.
Frequent mobile calls between Jagdish Patel and Anant Patel, established that instructions were given by Jagdish Patel and accused were taken to Jagdish farm.
Judgement on bail of Ketan Patel has been kept reserved for tomorrow. Hearing on bail plea of both the cops is over.
