Today in Gujarat, Bharuch finds place in Guinness Book of World Records during Tug of War event in Khel Maha Kumbh Mela with participation by 4,672 participants in the international level of sports event.
In the Tug of War event at Bharuch, India left USA behind and found place in the international sports event. Tug of War was held on during Feb 11-12 as a part of Khel Maha Kumbh with participation from 4,672 participants.
The sports event was conducted under administrative supervision by Bharuch Collector Dr Vikrant Pande. During 2 day long sports event school students and general public took part.
Previous record for the same event was held by USA with 1,575 participants.
