During a press meet in GPCC office at Ahmedabad, Gujarat Congress leaders including President Bharatsinh Solanki and Shankersinh Vaghela interacted with media. They said that BJP government is protecting interest of handful of people and not worried about common man. They appealed to vote for people oriented government by saying goodbye to BJP and thereby bring back Panchayati raj in Gujarat.
Bharatsinh said BJP govt of Gujarat has anti-farmer, anti-people mentality. Injustice to Dalits is increasing. Backlog of vacancies is not cleared in govt. There are long queues in getting caste related certificates. 80 % vacancies of staff is there in Primary and Community Health Centres run by govt. 70 % posts of para medical staff is vacant. 14,565 schools require more than 1 class rooms. 6,000 road routes connecting Ahmedabad rural and urban have been discontinued.
Shankersinh Vaghela said that people of Bihar understood the tactics of govt in 15 months which people of Gujarat did not understand. This govt has attacked on democracy by deleting names of voters from the final list and are expert in such manipulations. Even they are expert in misusing IAS and IPS officers for their benefit.
