After ban of currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 by government recently, people rush here and there in a panic situation to exchange old notes with new ones, to deposit cash available in old denominations and to withdraw handy cash for minimum day to day transactions.
In a exemplary behavior by BOI Bank of India in Banaskantha district, 4 new counters were specially setup with the help of retired bank employees to facilitate their customers. Literacy level is low in Banaskantha district. People stand in queue from morning and barring few exception, most ATMs were closed.
