Today in Palanpur district of Banaskantha, about 300 Anganwadi workers staged demonstration against government and held a meeting. Leader of Anganwadi workers from Vadgam in Mehmadpur said that we have rendered 18 to 20 years of services to Anganwadi job. Our child care and educational services were available till the kid becomes 5 years of age.
Now when it is time to make us Supervisor, we are given excuse of overage. Our services are used for Aadhar Card and Mamta Card preparation. We are driven out once our job with them is over.
We warn to go on hunger strike from 1st February, if our demands of making us permanent is not satisfied.
