After 6 days, in a joint operation by ATS Anti Terrorist Squad and Ahmedabad Crime Branch rescued Dr Rajesh Mehta from the custody of his abductors by arresting them. Two Patel youth had abducted Dr Rajesh and demanded extortion money of Rs 2 Crores. Doctor Rajesh is a professor in Dharpur Medical college in Patan. He was abducted on 18th August. Police caught hold of 2 abductors kalpesh Patel and Hitesh Patel from around 12 kms from Unjha. kalpesh is from Mehsana and Hitesh is from Ahmedabad. Two PI of Crime Branch and Himanshu Shukla SP of ATS were jointly working to resolve the case.
