Today Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patelcommissioned India’s 1st high capacity 800 kV HVDC Transformer manufactured by Alstom T&D India at Vadodara. CM said that this indigenous Transformer defines motto of Gujarat’s development for India’s Progress will be part of Chhattisgarh-Haryana inter-regional transmission system. Indigenous transformers such as HDVC transformer is need of the hour that will help us strengthen power transmission infrastructure of India. She expressed confidence that with 800 kV HVDC transformer will generate new trend ahead for India to be an Energy Sufficient and Energy Efficient country.
Rs 3623 crores have been provisioned in Gujarat Budget towards this project. This is an effort towards PM Modi’s Make In India initiative.
