Today, Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel attended state-level ‘Bal Kavi Sammelan’ in Ahmedabad and was spellbound with the poetry skills of young poets. After statewide drawing competition,in another effort to nurture hidden talent of children ‘Bal Kavi Sammelan’ was organised in schools across Gujarat. From all the participating students, total 135 – 63 from primary schools & 72 from high schools recited poems at state-level function today. Felicitated each student with token of appreciation & the best 5 ‘Bal Kavis’ from each category were rewarded with cash prizes. Also glad to launch ‘Shishu no Swar’, a compilation of poems penned by the great poets of tomorrow.
Listening to these ‘Bal Kavis’ was extremely gratifying & assuring that future of literature in Gujarat is in safe hands!
