Yesterday, BJP president Amit Shah was granted exemption by Mumbai CBI court from attending hearing in criminal Sohrabuddin Sheikh and Tulsi Prajapati encounter cases. Shah will need to be presented only for framing of charges or if court specially directs.

Then Amit Shah was Home Minister of  Gujarat when Sohrabuddin Sheikh was encountered by Gujarat Police.
