Amit Shah and Smriti Irani will contest for Rajya Sabha election from Gujarat
Today with Amit Shah national president and Smriti Irani’s nomination as a candidates of Bhartiya Janta Party BJP for Rajya Sabha election from Gujarat. They will file nominations on 28th July. It was announced by JP Nadda in Parliamentary Board Meeting.
Smriti is union textile minister and Minister for Information & Broadcasting.
State would benefit from rich legislative experience of two stalwarts of the party.
Nadda also announced the candidature of Sampatia Uike, a woman tribal leader from Mahakoshal region, from Madhya Pradesh in a by-election to the Rajya Sabha from the state.
