Amid lot of speculations Anandiben Patel becomes Governor of MP
Anandiben Patel Former Gujarat chief minister has been appointed governor of MP Madhya Pradesh.
After Narendra Modi elected as PM candidate in 2014 general elections, Anandiben was given responsibility of Gujarat State administration. In 2014 May She became first woman chief minister of Gujarat and stepped down in 2016.
Anandiben Patel becoming Governor of MP creates lot of speculation about political movements taking place in Gujarat and in India.
Whether the move was a mandatory or it was a process to keep her away from Gujarat politics or someone is uncomfortable with Anandiben’s presence in Gujarat. She is dealth in the same way Vajubhai Vala senior leader of BJP Gujarat made governor of Karnataka. Vajubhai was a finance minister of Gujarat and said to have fairly good hold in the ministry.
Anandiben, 75, is Hailing from an agriculturist family in Vijapur in Mehsana district, Patel had joined BJP as the president of party’s women wing in 1986.
She has a long political career, as she was elected to the Rajya Sabha in 1994. In 1998, she was education minister of Gujarat. She retained the portfolio after being re-elected in 2002 from Patan. In 2012, Patel shifted Ghatlodia in Ahmedabad.
