In Ahmedabad, two staff members of AMC, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation were arrested red handedly by Anti Corruption Bureau,ACB while accepting second installement of bribe.
Resident of Ghatlodia area, Mahesh Hariram Gupta had filed an application to regularise his illegal construction of Surya Complex in 2005. Tracer Nandkishore Limbani and Inspector Sunil Keshawlal Patel of Jodhpur Ward were arrested when they went to take second installment from Mahesh Gupta. First installment of Rs 2.50 lakhs was already paid to both the AMC persons, though Mahesh did not wanted to do so. The deal was fixed at Rs 5.00 lakhs.
ACB’s PI,Police Inspector Arya set a trap in which both AMC staff members were caught accepting bribe to settle illegal construction by Mahesh Gupta. Further investigation in the case is on.
