Today as a precautionary measure AMC Ahmedabad Municipal Commissioner Vijay Nehra has decided to be Home Quarantine for two weeks after coming into contact with Coronavirus infected persons durig field visits. However, it is learnt from reliable sources that MC Commissioner Nehra was taking enough care of maintaining social distance, wearing gloves and face mask.

As per existing guidelines, I have been advised self isolation at home for 14 days.

In absence of Nehra the charge of AMC has been handed over to Mukesh Kumar Vice Chairman and CEO of Gujarat Maritime Board.

Gujarat Government has appointed Pankaj Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary of Revenue department as the Special Officer to Coordinate, Supervise and Monitor all the health related activities of COVID-19 in the State.
