Today, from morning 10 o’clock, Amarnath Yatra resumed after a clash at Baltal base camp between two groups. As many as 40 persons were injured and 300 tents were burnt and community kitchens,langars were destroyed. Police had to burst tear gas shells and lathicharge to control mob.
Finally, Amarnath yatra to Amarnath cave shrine has resumed through a route of Baltal and Pahelgaam. For security of pilgrims to Baltal, check posts have been set up. Many pilgrims are based at Manigaam Shibir.
