Today Alok Verma removed as CBI director by selection panel led by PM Narendra Modi.
panel comprised of Congress Leader Mallikarjun Khadge and Justice AK Sikri, representing Chief Justice of India. He was removed with 2:1 majority.
Yesterday only Verma had assumed his office after a gap of 75 days. On corruption charges he was earlier sent on forced leave by Government but later reinstated by Supreme Court.
