Police personnel from across India will participate in swimming and diving
72nd All India Police Aquatic Cluster Championship 2024-25 competition
572 athletes from 27 states will participate in total of 4 sports competitions including water polo and cross country
All India Police Aquatic Cluster Championship to be held for the first time in Gujarat
Four competitions of the 72nd All India Police Aquatic Cluster Championship 2024-25 will be held in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar from March 24 to 28. Various sports competitions between the All India Police Sports Control Board, police forces of all states and union territories of India as well as Central Armed Police Forces (BSF, ITBP, CRPF, CISF, SSB etc) will be held. Sports competitions are organized every year.
All India Police Sports Competitions are organized across India by splitting the sports activities into different clusters and handing over the hosting to police forces located in various states. This year, the aquatic cluster competitions are to be held in Gujarat.
The 72nd All India Police Aquatics Cluster Championship 2024-25 is being hosted by the Gujarat Unit of the Central Reserve Police Force Gujarat Unit. Police force personnel from various states and union territories as well as Central Armed Police Force personnel compete in police sports competitions held at the national and international levels after winning such police sports competitions. The All India Police Sports Control Board intends to strengthen spirit of sportsmanship among the Central Armed Police Force personnel and police personnel who guard the borders of India and are responsible for internal security and safety by organizing such competitions.
Opening ceremony will be held on 24th March at the Sports Authority of India Complex in presence of Gujarat DGP Director General of Police Vikas Sahay and Closing ceremony of the competition will be held on 28th March at the SAI Sports Authority of India Complex, Gandhinagar in presence of Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. In 4 days competition various aquatics and cross country will be held among the competitors.
Apart from this, a cultural program has also been organized on March 26th from 7 to 9 pm at the CRPF Group Cente, Gandhinagar.
• swimming competition will be held at the Sports Authority of India swimming pool in Gandhinagar from March 24 to 28 at 8:00 am and 4:30 pm.
• diving competition will be held at the swimming pool located at Sardar Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad from March 25 to 27 from 10:00 am.
• water polo competition will be held at the Sports Authority of India swimming pool in Gandhinagar from March 24 to 28 from 11:00 am.
• cross country competition will be held at the South Western Air Command swimming pool in Gandhinagar, near the main gate, on March 25 to 27. It will be held on March 26 at 06:30 am.
Opening ceremony will be held on March 24 at 05:00 am and the closing ceremony will be held on March 28 at 05:20 am at SAI Sports Authority of India complex Gandhinagar. 72nd All India Police Aquatics Cluster Championship 2024-25” competition will feature teams from Andaman Nicobar Police, Andhra Pradesh Police, Assam Police and Assam Rifles, Border Security Force, Chhattisgarh Police, CISF. 572 competitors from CRPF, CRPF, Gujarat Police, Haryana Police, Indo Tibetan Border Police, Jammu and Kashmir Police, Jharkhand Police, Karnataka Police, Kerala and Maharashtra Police, NDRF, Odisha, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab Police, Railway Protection Force, SSB are participating. Four sports will be held in this championship competition, including swimming and water polo competition at SAI, diving competition at Sardar Patel Stadium and 10 km cross country run at CRPF GC Gandhinagar.
