Son Abhishek Bachchan, actor Aishwarya Rai and her daughter Aaradhya have also tested positive for the coronavirus. While Amitabh and Abhishek are admitted to the hospital on Saturday after showing mild symptoms, Aishwarya and Aaradhya are asymptomatic. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has said they will take a written declaration from Aishwarya if she and her daughter want to be treated at home.
The Nanavati Super Speciality Hospital said that Amitabh is stable with mild symptoms and is currently admitted in an isolation unit.
Vishwas Mote, Assistant Municipal Commissioner, K west ward of BMC said, “All four bungalows of Bachchan family named Jalsa, Janak, Pratiksha and Vatsa have been sealed and declared as containment zone. We are conducting contact tracing among all staff members, and till now 30 have been identified as high risk contacts.”
