Ajmeri Abdul Rashid: Akshardham terror attack accused arrested at Ahmedabad airport
Today in Ahmedabad, a Prime conspirator in the 24 September 2002 Akshardham terror attack, Abdul Rashid, arrested after 15 years by team of Crime Branch at the airport after he arrived from Riyadh of Saudi Arabia.
Abdul Rashid Suleman Ajmeri, was a wanted accused in Akshardham terror attack case of Gandhinagar. He has been charged with providing funding in terror attack. In terror attack 32 people were killed and 80 persons were injured.
Abdul Rashid raised funds in Ahmedabad. The attack was planned as a revenge of Gujarat riots.
Crime Branch is investigating the case and trying to get clue on other accused from Abdul Rashid.
