It is forecast that water crisis will turn out to be worse day by day and till 2025. In Hot summer, situation in many countries become worse.
Even in Gujarat, there is a village where villagers are forced to choose between whether to have air for breathing or water for living.
Villagers of Rumipura in Waghodia district of Vadodara are in a very pitiable condition. For last 10 years, women of village have to walk down upto 2 kms to get a pot full of water for drinking.
Survival for villagers and their cattle has become very risky.
In absence of inadequate drinking water facility, Women of village are forced to walk upto nearby Narmada sub canal and form a human chain and stand on a sloppy edge of the canal to pass empty and full pots to make their daily living.
Many times, worst incidents happen with girl or woman, as they slip into the canal while getting water. Men of the villagers have to helplessly watch the situation of their ladies sweating for water and risking their lives.
Villagers stopped using water coming in from the water tank which was red and harmful to drink.
RO plant made in the village appears like a show piece as it has not been given with electric supply and it is doing nothing but catching dust and sounds like a mockery.
No government officials turn up for help.
The Waghodia constituency falls under Bharatiya Janta Party BJP MLA Madhu Srivastav, who gets elected for last 30 years from the area.
