In Ahmedabad, now car rider with more than 70 kms speed would be penalized with a fine of Rs 1,000.
Ahmedabad Traffic Police to use Speed Gun, initial run was made at Iskon Circle, Pakwan Cross Road and Thaltej underpass.
Already in 26 days, 1,300 speeding car riders have been issued with E-Memos.
Initially Rs 1,000 would be fined for over speeding and second time Rs 2,000 would be fined for the speed violation.
Use of Speed Gun for speed measurement of car was implemented since 13 June.
In 2015, Ahmedabad police purchased 5 speed guns which are being used. Presently, till 7 pm E-Memos are issued for over speeding in car but from 14 July, the operation would be carried out in two shifts.
