The Dignity Foundation, dedicated to the cause of senior citizens and their need to be valued and live with dignity, today celebrated its annual day taking a pledge to “Stand against Ageism”. This coincided with the International Day for Older Persons, 2016 and senior citizens were honored.
Ageism seeks to do away with any prejudice or inequity on the basis of one’s age. Dr. Sheilu Sreenivasan, Founder & President, The Dignity Foundation, spoke on successful ageing and the various programs of the foundation that backs the need of senior citizens. Shri Piyush Desai, CMD, Wagh Bakri Tea Group and Chief Patron of the foundation addressed those present. Shri Gagan Sethi, Shri Bharat Bhagat, Shri Sudhir Nanavati and Shri Sunil Shah graced the event.
