Recently in Ahmedabad, a competition of 100 construction workers was held from Gujarat for a regional skills contest before India Skills Competition. The competition was held at Savvy Swaraaj, to measure brick laying and wall and floor tiling skills by local CREDAI chapter. It was an initiative by NSDC National Skill Development Corporation, CREDAI CSR and Kushal,Rustomjee Academy for Global Careers. Two best out of 4 performers from each region will be selected at National level winners, the compettion to be hled on July 15, 2016. Qualifying members will then participate in World Skills Competition to be held in Abu Dhabi in 2017.
