After 25 August post Patidar agitation and arrest of Patidar leader Hardik Patel in Ahmedabad, in 3 societies of Shahibaug area Police had caused damaged vehicles and done atrocities. Today, first complaint against 100 Police staff for atrocities in Shahibaug on 25 August have been lodged.
After lathicharge on 25 August at GMDC, 40 to 50 Police had entered Chnadralok Society in Shahibaug area and caused damaged to bike and cars. Also, Police made damage in Sumeru Society and Dream Plaza societies in the area. They had opened locked gate, which was visible in CCTV footage. The footage had become viral.
As per sources, in this connection Ketan Patel, Chandralok Society had booked complaint against 40 to 50 Police. Also, Mangalesh Patel, Dream Plaza had made complaint against 10 to 15 Police. They had publicly abused by entering the society and damaged vehicles. Narendra Patel, Sumeru society had lodged complaint against 10 to 15 Police for abusing and damaging vehicles. Shahibaug Police had lodged 3 complaints. Police is now in defensive mode and in the process of deleting CCTV footage. This is the first complaint against Police atrocities.
