Today evening, Ahmedabad based businessman Mahesh Shah who declared whopping Rs 13,860 crores as black money in IDS 2016 and went underground was detained by Sarkhej police.
Shah first went to office on a Gujarati TV channel. Shah said I have faith in this channel so I have come here. Shah was getting emotional while talking to TV correspondent.
Later from office of TV channel he was detained by IG Sarkhej police.
Shah was out of house for couple of days, about which family was not aware.
Shah was frightened about security to his family. I will give account of every penny. The money which I wanted to declare is not mine it belongs to businessmen and politicians. Those who assured me to give money backed off at last moment therefore I could not pay the 1st installment.
Shah demanded protection to him and his family. He said he has faith in IT Income Tax Department and provide all information to IT.
He accepted that he committed a mistake but he will reveal everything very soon. Truth will prevail in the entire matter.
