Ahmedabad (rural) SP Nirlipt Rai to be arrested in 24 hours; non-bailable warrant by NHRC

Ahmedabad SP (Superintendent of Police) Ahmedabad (rural) Nirlipt Rai is stuck in controversy. As per TV report non-bailable warrant has been issued by NHRC National Human Rights Commission against Rai and orders for his arrest within 24 hours has been issued. The warrant has been issued for non-submission of Enquiry Report in land scam. NHRC has instructed higher authority to arrest Rai in 24 hours and produce him before the commission. He has been summoned to Delhi also.
In Kamiyala village near Dhandhuka appealant Temubha Narsingh had made complaint in 2012 that retired DYSP VD Vanar has threatened him to do his encounter. Based on complaint Human Rights Commission instructed SP of Ahmedabad District to submit its report. Then SP Gagandeep Gambhir had submitted a report favouring responsible persons. Commission did not agree with the report so , it was being re-investigated by Rai. He was to submit the report by 30-6-2015. Commission took this matter seriously.

Despite fo repeated reminders by the Commission to appear with necessary documents and report which Rai neglected. So the commission asked higher authority to arrest Rai, who was later released on Rs 500 bond. Rai is asked to appear before the commission on 24 September at 3 pm.

Retired DySP VD Vanar has swalloed 30 Bigha land in Kamilaya of Dhandhuka of Temubha using undue advantage of his position. No action against Vanar has been taken even after complaints in various departments. Temubha added that on 30-5-2011 that Vanar and his associates did firing on Temubha for which a complaint was lodged in Dholera Police Station. Vanar has also lodged 10 complaints against us and matter is pending in High Court for threat to do our encounter.
