In 17 encounter of Gujarat, Special Task Force, STF  has been formed to probe in 17 cases Post Godhra episode. In 2012, based on directive from Supreme Court STF has been formed with an appointment of retired justice HS Bedi as STF Chief. Three STF teams have been made to probe into 17 encounter cases of Gujarat including 2 of Ahmedabad, 4 of Valsad and Junagadh town.

Today in Ahmedabad, a review meeting will be held at Shahibag Annexe.
