Ahmedabad received first rain of the season; Maninagar received maximum rain of 33 mm

Today early morning between 6 am to 7 am Ahmedabad city received first rain of the season.

In Khokhra, Hatkeshwar, Nikol, Isanpur, Lambha, Nava Vadaj, Kalupur, Shahwadi and Memnagar incidents of water logging were reported from low lying areas.

Temperature in the city had fallen and people feel relaxed from scorching heat.

Maninagar received maximum 33 mm rain today.

East zone received 13.83 mm, Viratnagar 7 mm, Odhav 12.5 mm and Chakudia Mahadev received 22 mm of rain.

Western Zone received 8.5 mm, Usmanpura 6.5 mm, Chandkheda 2 mm and in new Western Zone  average rain received 12.67 mm , Ranip received 3.5 mm, Bodakdev 9.5 mm, Vejalpur 20 mm, Science City received 8.5 mm of rain.

Central Zone received average rain of 13.25 mm, Danapith 20.5 mm and Dudheshwar received 6 mm of rain.

South Zone received average rain 29 mm, Maninagar 33 mm and Vatva received 25 mm of rain.

In Vastral, checial affluents entered in Indrapuri society and a few socities in the area, as man hole started overflowing due to water logging.

With first rain in Ahmedabad city, reality of pre monsoon plan of AMC Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation is revealed.

In Nandurbar, water started flooding along Maharashtra border.

In Gujarat Diu, Botad, Bhavnagar, Surendranagar, Amreli,Mehsana,Godhra, Navsari and Gir Somnath received rain in the morning.

Dahod received 3 inch rain in just 2 hours.

There was influx of water in Tapi river of Surat.
