As per Hindu Calender, on Aashadhi Bij in Ahmedabad city, 138th Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath will be held on July 18. This year Rath Yatra and Eid falls on the same day. Though, Eid and Rath Yatra are on same day Muslim people will join the Rath Yatra procession.
Like every year, this year will be a grand prominent Muslim leaders will welcome chariot and Mahanat of temple. Every year Dariapur-Limdi Chowk, Dhalagarwad and Shahpur’s Muslims including Iqbal Sheikh (Advocate), Hasan Lala, Rafiq Nagariwala, Aziz Gandhi will be welcome Maharaj Dilipdasaji of Jagannath temple with floral welcome and send message of communal harmony. Also, local MLA Gyasuddin Sheikh of Shahpur area, will receive Dilipdasaji Maharaj and will send peace dove flying .
Ahmedabad Ekta Committee President Aziz said, “Like every year, this year we will celebrate procession with enthusiasm. Eid preparation karatamm also give more attention we are preparing for the procession. In the first Ekta Committee meeting and we are preparing for the Rath Yatra and also left yesterday evening prayers. ”
This year we welcome Dilipdasji Maharaj and we will put tricolor turban on him this time with greetings on Eid and Rath Yatra.
