According to latest trend Ahmedabad Citizens/Amdavadis usually welcome the new year on December 31 at 12 midnight for New Year celebration. In public interest Ahmedabad City police has issued a notification on alternate route /parallel route for commuters wanting to use CG Road, Sindhu Bhavan Road/SG Highway,SP Ring Road, Nehrunagar, Panchvati, Shivranjani Cross Road. Alternate routes can be used from 31st December 18 hrs till 1st January 3 am.
Legal action will be taken under BNS 2023, section 223 and Section 131 of the Gujarat Police Act, 1951 warned Ahmedabad Police Commissioner GS Malik.
