Today in Ahmedabad, part of historical Kalupur Gate collapsed. The gate is important architectural monument of old Ahmedabad. It is one of the gates of 12 gates of walled Ahmedabad city. Age of the gate is considered to be 600 years old.
Luckly no one was hurt in the collapse incident. The gate is maintained by Indian Archeology Department. The road surrounding Kalupur gate was blocked as a precautionary measure.
