Today on 28th February in Ahmedabad, on account of National Science Day celebration at SAC Space Applications Centre of ISRO different knowledge based creative programs for school students were organised with participation from 500 students across Gujarat.
The day is commerated with Nobel Laureate Dr CV Raman, a great Indian Scientist. Dr Raman invented Raman effect for which he was conferred upon with Nobel prize,
The event was opened by SAC Director Tapan Misra. Also present were DECU Director Virendra Kumar. The event was well organised by SAC team. Shri Tapan briefed about achievement of SAC-ISRO and its future missions. Director shared image of Cartosat satellite, which was recently launched by ISRO.
Participants from Samarpan Deaf and Dumb School , Navjeevan School and BPA School attended the event.
Various programs for students covered Quiz Competition and Coloring/ Painting competition on a drawings with a scientific theme.
School Students and other visitors got awareness about Scientific achievements by SAC-ISRO in particular and by India in general.
